Breaking the mould is always fun, but when it comes to an e-commerce experience used by thousands or maybe millions of people, one should heed caution.
To get the most of of Shopify, our mantra has always been to "work with Shopify's strengths, not against it's weakness", fighting a never ending battle of feature envy.
As recently as 2018, we were still migrating clients off of Shopify (that was part of being a Shopify capable agency). Brands longed for custom checkout experiences and user account account features that rivaled that of a social media platforms and bluechip commerce experiences. In hindsight, they were crazy to think they could achieve what millions of dollars had previously paid for and so were we for saying yes!
